Mola Foods to Give Away Free Spices

Part of a broader campaign to generate interest in its Taste of Africa events, Mola Foods is launching a social media campaign that will send a yet-to-be-released spice to five of its most ardent fans. According to Mola Foods Founder LaFortune Jeannette Djabea, the campaign will take place on Facebook. “I’ll send this spice to five people who like, share and engage with the campaign the most,” she said. “I think it will be fun.”

A native of Cameroon, Djabea held her first Taste of Africa event at Mola Foods in Nashua on Friday, April 22, which sold out in days. The second event sold out, while the third (June 3) is also at capacity. At Taste of Africa events, which often feature live music, guests are served meat and vegan dishes from different parts of Africa and wine from Averill House Vineyard in Brookline, NH.

“The idea behind my brand is to invite people to learn about and experience African culture through my food and spices.”

“I’ve been amazed at the interest in these events by people of all ages,” said Djabea, who also makes a successful line of spices and sells them at area stores and online at molafoods.com. “The idea behind my brand is to invite people to learn about and experience African culture through my food and spices.”

Mola Foods Free Spice Give Away Campaign launches on Saturday, May 21 and will run through Thursday, May 26. Regarding the nature of the “mystery spice,” Djabea said that it will remain a secret “for now.” “You have to win or wait until it hits the shelves,” she laughed.
