Mola Foods To Host ‘Taste of Africa’ Valentine’s Day Celebration

On Tuesday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m., Mola Foods will host ‘Taste of Africa’ Valentine’s Day Celebration, which will take guests on a culinary tour of Cameroon, Ethiopia, and Morocco. Pairing dishes with wine from Averill House Vineyard in Brookline, the event will also feature live music from Rabihah Ruby Shabazz.

“‘Taste of Africa’ is my open-hearted invitation to come experience a bit of my culture right here in Nashua on this special day for lovers,” said Mola Foods Founder LaFortune Jeannette Djabea, a native of Cameroon.

Regarding African flavors, Djabea described them as “bold,” but also “mild,” as she noted many Americans misunderstand the cuisine from her continent. “We have ‘spicy’ in Africa, but it is often served on the side in the form of a sauce,” she said. “The food itself is often very mild and approachable, which pleasantly surprises people.”

‘Taste of Africa’ Valentine’s Day Celebration takes place on Tuesday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Mola Foods. Gluten-free and vegan options will be available for those with dietary restrictions. Tickets are $50 per person and available for purchase at molafoods.com.

A vibrantly colored space at 9 Simon St. in Nashua with seating for 40+ people, Mola Foods features dine-in, takeout service, and a digital storefront with many products available at area retail outlets. To learn more about Mola Foods, recently featured on WMUR’s NH Chronicle, visit molafoods.com.
