Mola Foods To Offer ‘African Desserts and Wine Tasting’

On Friday, May 20, Mola Foods will host ‘African Desserts and Wine Tasting,’ an event that will feature desserts from various African countries and wine from Averill House Vineyard in Brookline, NH. The event builds on similar events at Mola Foods in downtown Nashua, NH where Founder LaFortune Jeannette Djabea said the objective is “to bring communities together, build friendships, and encourage people to discover African culture.”

“Everyone loves dessert, so this is a chance for you to try something unique that I promise you will enjoy,” said Djabea, a native of Cameroon, a central African country on the Gulf of Guinea. “Dessert is a great way to invite Americans to explore the wonderful diversity of African culture.”

Similar events at Mola Foods include the upcoming sold-out ‘Taste of Africa’ on Friday, April 22. At this event, meat and vegan dishes will be paired with wine from Averill House Vineyard.

In electing to plan ‘African Desserts and Wine Tasting,’ Djabea said she is responding to increased interest in her brand. “From spices and healthy meal plans you can buy online to a store, dine-in and takeout service here at my shop, I think people are starting to get curious,” she said. “African cuisine is vibrant, flavorful and very approachable, which my customers are discovering.”

Featuring desserts from more than half-a-dozen African countries and wine from Averill House Vineyard, ‘African Desserts and Wine Tasting’ is Friday, May 20, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at Mola Foods. Tickets are $35 per person. To purchase tickets, visit molafoods.com/dessert.
