Elizabeth Black Lavelle joins the MOLA Foods, Inc. board after obtaining her MBA in May 2019. We look forward not only to her on-trend business insight into the food science industry but also tapping into her strong scientific background; pharma/biotech benchwork (including biologic drug purification research, development, and upscaling of Avonex, an injectable medication for Multiple Sclerosis), 15 years as an experienced Emergency Department RN, and designer of healthcare IT algorithms for instituting and upholding best healthcare practices across the United States. She is currently an adjunct professor in the Business Department at Fitchburg State University. She and her husband live in MA and enjoy cooking as well as hiking with their two dogs.
Tom King has been a sportswriter for the Nashua Telegraph for the last 33 years, covering local high school and college sports, minor league and summer collegiate league baseball, the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins and a variety of other local and regional sports. He has covered 10 Super Bowls, 3 Stanley Cup finals and one NBA Final in person. A native of Albany, N.Y.and a graduate of Northeastern University, King also has extensive broadcast experience as a former high school play-by-play man for WSMN Nashua high school game broadcasts and was a fill-in play-by-play man for Lowell Spinners radio broadcasts. King also has worked extensively in sports television for WNDS-TV (Derry) and is currently part of the sports broadcast team for Nashua’s Comcast education channel, E-TV (Channel 99). He also is the former co-host of “Christian and King”, a daily sports talk show on ESPN New Hampshire radio that ended in January 2017 when the station changed formats.
